Re: Farewell Mr.Pumpers
You'd rightly feel a bit numb after what you've been through, it's the bodies way of dealing with pain/shock. You came home after a presumably nice relaxing holiday and all of a sudden lost two important parts of your life. It takes a while to adjust back to normal life after a holiday, most people feel a bit down then anyway, and this certainly isn't helping. Perhaps it would be good if you could invite a friend over today and talk it through with them? You might find it helpful to write down how you feel, in a poem or diary, and then reading it back may help for it to sink in? x

Re: Farewell Mr.Pumpers
How horrible for you, coming as such a shock. These things do take time to accept, and come to terms with, so just do what feels right, don't judge yourself or how you feel. Pumpkin was a little character who gave us all many giggles, he won't be forgotten, for sure. As regards your OH, is it possible to talk things through? I hope you can work things out, but be kind to yourself. x

Re: Farewell Mr.Pumpers
Oh nat I'm so so sorry!
He was such a beautiful lil guy and he couldn't have had a better mummy.
I know it must be hard for you, but you put your mind at rest that you gave him all the love he needed at his last moments to pass safely to the bridge.
he'll be watching over you and th other hams up there and he and Gizmo will be able to be together again xxx

Re: Farewell Mr.Pumpers
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss Amethyst Ice.
Take a look at the memorial you just wrote. All of us can see the deep love you shared and clearly see the sadness in your words. Don't doubt yourself sweetie. We all express of grief in different ways, sometimes alone, sometimes right away, sometimes weeks later. It is all very personal and whatever your way is right for you.
Two shocks at once really knock you but things happen for a reason. Take your time and things will gradually crystalise and you will find a way forward and a new life will open in front of you.
I'm quite sure that he waited for you Nat. Why else would he do that if he did not return your love? He knew alright and he flew on angel wings once you were home to let him go.
I hope you find peace of mind in the time to come be it days, weeks or months.
Play well at the bridge Pumpkin and I know you will be watching over your very special mama from now on xxx

Re: Farewell Mr.Pumpers
Oh babe, I'm so sorry about your week. I understand your pain - I think the last two months have quite possibly been the worst in my life! You will feel numb at times and at other times you will feel a lot of heart ache. Don't stop it - let it wash over you. I hope you have someone close by to give you hugs. If not then... *hugs*
