Hi, I have 1 'winter white' hamster although from reading things over the last week he is possibly a hybrid.

We lost his brother last weekend and we're looking to get another, possibly a pair, though the 3 wouldn't mix.

I'd love to know if there are any WW breeders in the NE area... we are willing to travel sort of Leeds distance but not driving is a problem. We are sometimes in the Leicester area (family) so that is a possibility.

I am sorry to hear about the loss of Pootang, but he lived a long life, and i am sure he was happy with you

There are a number of breeders around the uk of Winter Whites and Campbells, so if you contact the secretary of the midland club they will probably be able to help you, or maybe even the northern club.

I will have a look round for you to see who i can find.

You may want to visit a local show, where lots of breeders will gather with their babies, or you can ring ahead and reserve a baby at the show.

Hi Jenny,

I live in Darlington & our Winter White Hamsters are from our local Pet shop. However the owner gets them all from a local good breeder. He only stocks Winter Whites. If you are interested, I can give you their address & phone number. Last time I was in he had a new litter in stock.
They are really friendly tame hamsters & very healthy. They are handled from young.

Have pmmed you the address & number. The owner is called Dave & his assistant Sandra. They do sell out very quickly the WW's but he does get a few litters in a year. He can always tell you when the next lot will be due in.
