Firstly welcome

i would definatly change you cage as it is too small and has bad ventilation! also with all the tubes it makes it harder to tame your hamster as they can hide in them....
i would recomend either a savic cambridge or a duna multy cage as both are spacious or if you are a DIY person you could make a bin cage

i wouls have a good look in the Wiki section as there is taming tips and instructions on
how to make a bin cage

Good luck!

Hello and welcome, i agree with Mark, the rotastak cages are too small for a syrian and when full grown they struggle with the tubes (along with many other problems)

A bin cage is a cheap alternative that will provide plenty of floorspace, it needn't even be complicated to build.
Also, once your hamster is a bit tamer, you can add the rotastak onto the bin cage as not to waste it
