Hi, I’ve been following posts as a guest and decided to say hello from me and my wee Syrian Biscuit. She’s beautiful although ever so fiesty. She is adopted and they think she was about 5 months old, so she will be a year in Nov. She has the biggest cage I can fit in and she has a run with lots it toys and enrichment for every night. She is in there between 1-2 hours every night and she seems to love it when I sit in with her and she gets to climb over me.

.
The 1 issue which worries me is that when I go to see her in the morning, the one corner of her cage had wee bits of blood. She had a solid base for digging but the upper section is bars. I do have an upper shelf where she sits but she seems to go at the bars despite all the toys and play time. I’ve been following the thread about bar biting and hope to pick up tips. My hubby has suggested the first to try is to remove the opportunity for her to use this same corner and just take out the wee upper shelf. I’m so worried she is hurting her mouth.
I’m hoping between that and the cardboard tip I can get her to stop. I did put a wee chew in but she didn’t seem interested, but can try a different flavour.
I’ve found many tips from your forum, Biscyut is my second hammy as an adult and I’m a worrier and want to just ensure she has the best wee life. Thank you.
