Question So confused and new here

Okay so first off I'm new here, secondly I would like some input.

So I was scrolling online looking for a hamster for my daughter she's such an animal lover like myself and being 7 I figured a hamster would be perfect, about the same age I was when I got my first hammy. I found two on a site for free, which I was okay with because when you get one kid something the other wants the same thing, killing two birds with one stone, no big deal right?. Wrong, turns out the female was pregnant and roughly two weeks later she had 14 babies!!! Now I'm not looking for advice on caring for mom or babies, I've got that down pat. Babies are doing great mom is introducing them to food they are starting to get out of the bed and find food on their own too. What I am a little worried about or confused about is that all the babies except two have already grown hair and you can see their colors.. the two seem to be hairless!!! Haven't started to even grow any hair but do have dark places on their body that seem to be where a different color of hair would be.. Is this normal? Are they just slower at growing than the other 12? I've never in my 33 years of living ever saw a hairless hamster but it seems that they are. I'm not sure how to post pictures on here yet but could take some pictures to show someone if they think they might know what's going on..

Hairless hamsters do exist so it is possible though they are not common in the gene pool. Do these pups have normal eyes? Does mum have a very shiny, satin coat? Double satin breeding can result in pups with very sparse and thin coats. They should be ok but will need care with homing in cages with soft bedding and very careful choice of toys ie nothing that they can catch their skin on like wood. Sometimes runts do develop more slowly but the coat is not normally affected. If you can see darker patches then there is likely to be coat coming through so it's a case of wait and see really. Keep us updated!
