Wink Hi , we’re new!

Hi!

I just bought a Chinese dwarf hamster. His name is widgi. I didn’t go in the store with the plan of walking out with a new family member but I did so now I have a new buddy. He really doesn’t mind being handled but I only get 5 min before he won’t stay still so I help him on from one hand to another and if he’s to anxy I just put him back in his tank. I got him a 20 gallon and he loves his hut and his wheel. I put dust bath in for him. He likes red peppers. I’m wondering if 20 gallons is too small. ? He’s a dwarf and it’s only 5 inches less than some of the recommendations on another site. I almost went out and got him a 150 gallon storage bin as that is what was recommended… also help on spending time with him? How to train him a little? Maybe to sit still?
