When we had guinea pigs my partner used to do their breakfast. As soon as he woke up they would wheek. If I woke earlier then him they wouldnt. Then in the afternoon they wheeked for me. Lol. They knew our footsteps.

Re: Finley
Oh guinea pigs are intelligent creatures.
My mother had one and Mops would wheek for his breakfast at 07.30 every morning. That was the time my father had his before going to work. No weekend lay in for my mother though because Mops couldn't tell a Monday from a Sunday but he knew when it was time for breakfast and he lived in the kitchen.
Clive sounds like a guinea pig and he can certainly turn up the volume.
Do guinea pigs have better eyesight than hamsters since they are not nocturnal?

Re: Finley
Mops is such a cute name! Haha. I never got a lie in when my partner was away either! It is so cute.
Guinea pigs have poor eye sight. I am not sure if it would be better then hamsters but their eye sight is not very good.

Re: Finley
That is a wonderful picture you took, Ria. Is Finley getting a bit more comfortable with you? He looks ready for his fresh food.

Re: Finley
No, he's very suspicious of me. I need to sit very still to get a photo of him, usually around midnight. If i move too much he disappears. He's aware of my presence sometimes and gets annoyed going by his behaviour.
