Default Hello from me and my chinese dwarf hammy Cheddar!

Just joined this site today as I am looking to further educate myself on how to provide the best care for my hamster. I've been doing a ton of research over the few weeks and am making adjustments and educated decisions on how to care for him. Just got him a 900 square inch bin cage and will be ordering his wheel and a lot of other things next week. I'm so excited to have this little guy in my life!

Hello and welcome to HC!

Cheddar is such a beautiful colour. I bet he can't wait to get a wheel.

Hello and thank you! And yes I'm getting him the 10 or 11 inch nite angel wheel. When I got him 2 weeks ago as a present, he was in this tiny horrible cage and the wheel was so small he couldn't use it and he couldn't really burrow and definitely couldn't explore so I bought a 900 square inch storage bin and turned it into his new home at least until I have every accessory I need for him and want for him then I'm going to save up and either DIY a huge enclosure or buy the nite angel vista in the large size which is 1,152 square inches. Right now he's got a sand bath a ceramic hide in the sand bath a woven grass hide 7 inches of bedding in most of the enclosure some millet sprays a water dish a water bottle attatched to the side of the bin, some chew toys and another hide and I scatter fed him and put crushed foraging material like dandilions and rose petals ect througout the cage
