Default Hello!

Hi there! Unlike most of you I have no hamsters yet but I am investigating if I should get a Syrian hamster. I live in Norfolk and have found no breeders locally so far! It is very interesting to read about these fascinating creatures 🐹! Hope everyone (and their hamsters) are having a good week so far.

Hello and welcome!

Many of our users don't have a hamster and it's great you are doing some research before

Hello Lalaloopsy.
I can say first hand that researching is a great start, however, truthfully you can research until your eyes can no longer blink and bloodshot from the long hours and you have drool dripping from the corner of your mouth while your mind is over stuffed like a hamster's cheek with knowledge that is jammed tighter than the freeway during rush-hour. Gather the basic knowledge then go get your friend 🐹. Learn together, it is the best feeling in the world. I have noticed there are many different point of views on how to tend to a hamster but honestly from my point of experience, I am glad I didn't hesitate on getting my Roborovski Dwarf Hamster. I researched, got the basic knowledge and let me say she is the one calling the shots on what she prefers to have to be happy. I listen to others here and heed the warnings on the nutrition diet requirements, however if my hamster doesn't eat it i never force her to. I encourage but never force anything onto her that she doesn't prefer because after all, her lifespan is way shorter than mine and her happiness during is what truly matters the most at the end of the day.

Hello, I’m relatively new too and wish I’d found this forum sooner, so much knowledge and experience amongst the members, it’s great! Have fun.
