Exclamation I need some advice!

Hello all I have a Russian Dwarf hamster named Cheeks that I had for 19 months now. I noticed a lump on his chest between his front legs, and I made a vet appointment as soon as I noticed it. Cheeks had his appointment today and I found out that the lump is cancer. Do to his age the vet didn’t recommend the surgery to remove, she did recommend to drain it a little but said it would fill back up. She prescribed some anti inflammatory medication that I can give him for comfort but that was all she could do. She advised if the lump got bigger and affected his quality of life to consider euthanizing him but she said he wasn’t at that point as of yet. Is there any diet changes that anyone has had success with in helping to prolong their hamster’s life that had cancer ?
