Default Ralph's cleaner & feeder - hello!

Hi

Ralph is my daughters Syrian hamster and we all live together - hence my user name Ralphs Nan. We got Ralph in October 2020 and he had been badly manhandled by the staff member at the pet shop (the bloke dint usually work with hamster there was a staff shortage) and was very scared and freaked out for a good couple of months.

Now he likes a cuddle, loves to show off and has such a huge personality. He does not sit still when you hold him though hes running all over you! We previously had a female Syrian 10 years ago when my daughter was a child, she was quiet, with such a sunny disposition - she loved to play in the barbie house or lay quietly and snuggle on my daughters broken arm cast! She had a trick of playing with the back of my earring - she would perch on my shoulder I can never imagine Ralph sitting still long enough to do that!

I havent known two hamster so incredibly different! I am divorced, living with my daughter as I said before until she moves out with her boyfriend later this year or early next year - I'm unable to work due to illness and Ralph is a little ray of sunshine - makes me smile at his antics!

Ralph sounds adorable and i'd love to see a photo of him.

Yes, it's surprising how different hamsters personalities are. They are all such individuals and delightful little companions.
