Default Hello from myself and Remy!

Hi there!

I know I've posted a few threads on this forum already looking for help and advice but I still haven't introduced myself properly yet!

My real name is Imogen, but people call me Immy for short! I turned 20 on the 24th of this month, so 5 days ago as of writing this thread. I can act pretty immature online, pretty much like a 12 year old sometimes but I guess it's no fun without the inner child of yourself coming out and being all weird and quirky!

I'm a somewhat intermediate/beginner hamster owner, I'm not really sure where to class myself but I put myself as intermediate in the end. I've done a lot of research on hamsters over my time, as well as taking an animal and equine qualification at university where I dedicated my time to studying our beautiful animals. I'm obsessed with horses, they're my all time favourite animal! I have been riding since the age of just 3 years old. But my favourite smallest animal would definitely be a hamster!

I've only ever owned two hamsters in my lifetime, but I've baby sat a few of my friends hamsters over the years quite a lot. My first hamster was all the way back in 2010 when I was 9 years old, I miss her A LOT.

Her name was Jenny and she was a lovely light golden brown/cream Syrian. Unfortunately, I only had a few months with her as my family decided to give her away for free to my brothers friend (which I never EVER forgave them for!) when I was away at school. And you know what their reason was? "They're really smelllllyyy!"... She was so out-going right from the start, let you hold her, lay in your hand etc. but I do admit. I was young and probably really uncapable of looking after a hamster and I look back and feel awful with how I did look after her in the time I did have with her.

I remember once I dropped her and a few years back when I was a lot older I came to understand and realise from research how bad it was for them to be dropped and as well as she most likely stunk because she wasn't cleaned properly... so I guess in the end it was probably the right thing to do to let her slip from my life secretly.

Enough about Jenny! This should be an introduction on myself and Remy! Recently, after finally years of pushing my luck and the real reasoning of "I'm moving out some point within the year or two anyway and he'll come with me!"... My family finally gave in to letting me purchase another hamster all these years on which was on the 7th of this month.

I named him Remy, he is a.. well. I'm not sure what colouring you would call him! Is there any forum on here where I can find out what colouring he is haha! I suppose he's like a mouse grey and white colourant with a cute patterning throughout. He's quite skittish, so we're going to start working on that a bit soon. He's very lucky to have an appropriate required amount of space of a lucky 709 square inches in his homemade bin cage! He is also very spoilt, I make sure to keep his environment spotless with a nice spot clean every night.

That's pretty much all you really need to know of me I guess! Thank you for reading!

If you know his colouring and patterning please let me know!
