Scared hamster

Hello, I recently got a hamster for the first time 6 days ago and I think I scared her. This is my first time owing a hamster and I have done a lot of research but I am still learning. She seems really stressed and scared of me but doesn’t bite just makes a Constant squeaking noise. I made the mistake of not leaving her alone for a couple days. She still eats out of my hand and takes food from me but what can I do to help her because unstressed and less scared?

It’s quite normal for a ham to still be nervous after such a short time, just be patient & try to go at her pace with taming, make sure she feels secure in her cage with plenty of hides & not too much open space, keep cleaning to a minimum (just spot cleaning pee) for a few weeks so she can properly settle in, if she’s taking treats from your hand she can’t be that scared & she should soon settle.

The best thing you can do is give the hamster time! Just staying close to the cage, speaking softly, giving treats, and follow the hamster's lead: once they relax in your presence you can take the taming process further. I think it is just a matter or time, patience and not forcing it (saying this as I have a very shy hamster who is just starting to enjoy of of cage playtime and has still never been held, after 2 months!!)
