Re: Meet Monty
Thank you all for your comments.
I made a couple of adjustments.
The big, yellow roofed house didn't work because it took up too much burrowing space and he didn't use it. This morning i watched Monty carry his whimzee behind the house which is a good indication of the location of his nesting area.
I replaced the house with his old, small house. Like Gordon he used it as a porch to his underground world.
I took out the right sputnik with the tube and lowered the bridge over his sandpit because the yellow plastic tube was a bit obstructing.
Then i realized that he didn't have a bridge to sit under and poke his nose out of which he likes to do. I put in a long bridge across for him to sit under and run across which is another thing he enjoys doing.
He used his wheel a lot last night and the saucer as well. The sand had been chucked about and all the fresh food had gone.
I think i got his set up right now.
His HH is on a dolly trolley so out of reach of Rodney who is a climber.

Re: Meet Monty
Robos are so cute and we have currently three in the house.
Photo 1 is a photo of our Robo Monty who came to his door to take a couple of mealworms from my fingers.
Photo 2 is Aggie who is going to be adopted tomorrow and moving into a lovely forever home.
Photo 3 is her sister Frances who i haven't advertised for adoption yet because i need some decent photos.

Re: Meet Monty
Well, Monty's the biggest and fattest Robo i've ever had. He runs on his wheel at night and runs around the playground so he does exercise but has a habit of just sitting in his wheel or ceramic hide watching the world go by.
I suppose like humans, hamsters come in all shapes and sizes.

Re: Meet Monty
I put him in the playpen for a taming session (one can try) and what does he do....sits in the wheel looking grumpy.

Re: Meet Monty
It must be hot when a Robo sleeps above ground.
