Introducing Carbon
It was sooner after Cadmium than I had hoped, but this little guy needed a new home and was being kept on pine shavings in a tiny cage
He's a rescue and I wasn't given much information about him except that he's about 9 months old and used to being handled. He does seem very friendly but we're still working on getting to know each other. I can say with some certainty that he's a fan of sunflower seeds

Re: Introducing Carbon
He is absolutely lovely! Carbon is a very good name for him too. You did a wonderful job adopting him and giving him a new home. I wish you both many many happy times together!

Re: Introducing Carbon
Thanks, I just couldn't imagine another name for him when I saw him - I wouldn't normally have gone for a name that similar to the previous ham, but when I looked at him, he definitely seemed like a Carbon and nothing else fit.

Re: Introducing Carbon
Congrats! Carbon really is a lovely little guy, look forward to seeing more of him.
He reminds me of my very first hamster, still missed 10 years on!

Re: Introducing Carbon
Aw congratulations. On the 2nd photo he reminded me of a little mole, just these little pink feet and ears and all that dark fur. Lovely.

Re: Introducing Carbon
He is a lovely little boy, and very busy too. Reminds me of Cadmium when she was younger; always far too busy to stand around and talk for more than a few seconds. I think one of my favourite things, other than watching him in the sand bath is when he finds a piece of substrate he particularly likes and races off with it to his nest or the sand bath!

Re: Introducing Carbon
What a cute little sweetie, with that rich dark fur and the contrasting pink paws and ears. And that’s a beautiful natural-looking habitat. What a lucky little guy. Enjoy getting to know him!
