Re: Ozzy the Lucky Dip hamster
Ozzy is a stunning ham, regardless of gender! I'm sorry about the circumstances that led to your new little one, but I hope you all have a lot of fun together

Re: Ozzy the Lucky Dip hamster
Ozzy may have been a lucky dip from the shop but he is one lucky ham to have come home with you Ria. Love the look of him and look forward to hearing more as he settles in.

Re: Ozzy the Lucky Dip hamster
Thank you all.
I took Ozzy out of his cage briefly tonight. He walked into a mug and was fine to handle and didn't bite me. Couldn't get a photo yet because he was only out for a very short time. Didn't want to stress or scare him. He is lovely but i'm not convinced that he is a he as told by the pet shop. Percy's tail end was definitely male and Ozzy's looks like Edwina's. He's younger than i thought and has some growing to do yet so maybe he'll develop...?

Haha! You won't because i made it up.
A Lucky Dip is a raffle or lottery type game. People pay a pound then pick a raffle ticket from a bucket. If the ticket is a winner they win a prize there and then.
When i bought Ozzy the shop girl put a box inside the tank and waited for a hamster to walk in.
I called that a Lucky Dip hamster because i wasn't able to pick one or handle one myself and it was left to chance.
I was lucky and got a winner because Ozzy is lovely.
Saying that, i couldn't have gotten a loser because all hamsters are winners.

Re: Ozzy the Lucky Dip hamster
Ozzy is still quite a shy little hamster who comes out when its quiet and dark. Normally its quiet but currently a very bold foster hamster who gets up early to run on his wheels till dawn lives in the same room as Ozzy and Edwina.
