growingthings Newborn Pup Join Date: Sep 2018 Posts: 1	Hamster owner wannabe in Michigan I'm seriously considering getting my daughter a hamster for her 13th birthday. I am leery of heading to the nearypet shop and buying one, but don't know how else to acquire a healthy, happy hamster. Any advice for a total newby? My daughter was adopted from Russia and wants a Russian hamster.
