Same happened to my Picolé (a masculine name in Portuguese). She was so used to the name by the time we realised the mistake that we kept calling her by the name... and she's got a sober blue cage.
Oh and I loved Chewbacca too!!! Congratulations! He looks great. A mini wookie lol

Re: Greetings from Chewbacca
My friends had a hamster for over a year that they thought was a girl. I baby-sat him over vacation, and broke the news to them. They still call him "her" anyway, they can't break the habit...

I'm swooning over Chewie! That is one gorgeous hamster <blocks Peanuts ears!!>
The long haired variety are gorgeous.
Can we make the Chewie on the glass picture our feb pic of the month?? Sammy, go put it on the competition page! I'd stay if that was the first pic I saw as a new member!

Haha I'll try and take a better one the same way, but with some extra uplighting and stuff. If I fail, I'll enter it

Re: Greetings from Chewbacca
Ok OK I posted
I took some more tonight (I love photography, despite my lack of skills!) and captured his first nibble of a blueberry (and it was a nibble, no way was I going to let him eat the whole thing) -
I like this picture. Again my lighting is a bit shoddy though. I brushed him for the first time too! So thanks for the suggestion. He didn't seem to mind it >.<

Re: Greetings from Chewbacca
Great picture! Wish any of mine would pose like Chewie. They just can't stop... it's incredibly hard to take a picture.
Congratulations.
