Hello!
Hello there! My name is Katie and I have joined this forum after learning that it provides some great tips for hamster care! (Thanks to ErinsAnimals)
I enjoy playing the ukulele, reading and drawing. I also love animals and that is why I'm on this forum. My current pet is Fireball my goldfish but we also have a cat who occasionally comes in our house named Miku but we do not own her.
I currently do not own a hamster but I am getting one next week hopefully from my local pet shop. (He breeds the hamsters himself and is certified). I am hoping to get a female Syrian hamster when the day comes and we have everything planned out:
- A 450 square inch cage
- Paper or aspen substrate
- A ten inch wheel
- Chew toys, hideout and toys
- Spot cleaning every few days and cleanout once a month
I'll update you guys when we bring our new friend home!
Have a great day!
Katie

Re: Hello!
Hi and welcome to HC! I love the awesome name for your goldfish, lol. The cat's name is sweet, too. That is exciting that you play the ukulele; it is such a wonderful instrument. Congrats on getting your Syrian next week; I hope that you two will have many wonderful years together. Btw, I would suggest getting a 12" wheel for your Syrian so she will not outgrow it when she reaches adulthood. I look forward to getting to know her when she settles in more. Have fun!!!
