Smile New member - hello all!

Hello all! I recently came across this forum while doing some research on Syrian genetics. I'm looking forward to joining the community!

A little about me: I'm located in southern USA, I have been involved with show rabbits for 10 years and have recently started raising other small animals as well, including hamsters and hedgehogs. I'm very much an animal lover!

I currently have 6 Syrians (1 is a rescue) and a trio of Roborovskis.

I do plan to responsibly breed my hamsters, though I fully intend to be completely educated and prepared before taking on that commitment. As well as only work with quality animals. I'm sure this forum will be an excellent resource! I did raise black Syrians when I was a kid, but it has been quite a while! I'm also very interested in genetics, I'm pretty well versed in rabbit color genes so hopefully some of that will translate across species lines. ☺

Looking forward to talking to everyone!

Hello and welcome to HC!

Another breeder in the US would be really nice. I'd recommend you email Strong brew hamstery and Zika hamstery for more information regarding breeding, genetics, and good quality breeders. Good luck

Hello and welcome to HC, Honeybear! I look forward to seeing you around in the forum. Good luck with breeding Syrians. It sure will be lovely to have another responsible and experienced breeder in the U.S. in the future.
