Default Syrian bit me, help!

Hello, this is my first post and it took me a while to learn how to post things here but now everything is alright!

First of all I got my 6 week old female Syrian Hamster (Ivy is how i call her ) this Saturday (26-03-2016).
I took her out on the first day because I got her from a breeder and she had tamed her already, so I didn't see any problems with it. She was energetic, kept running on my bed, I gave her some carrot and I put her back in the cage after 10 minutes.
On the second day I did the same and she was more calm, I played with her for 30-40 minutes. Yesterday the same thing.
I got a cage for her, proper bedding, wheel, chewy toys, a ball etc etc etc.
She is a very curious hamster, she explores, is active etc.

Yesterday I got one of those balls that you put your hamster in so she could explore my room a bit further and she seemed to love it.

BUT today, I put her in the ball again for 15 minutes and when I opened the ball I put my hand outside so she could go on it so I could put her on my bed to play a bit more and then in the cage, but then she put her head outside the ball, looked at my hand and bit me twice!
It wasn't a hard bite and it didn't bleed but she has never bitten me before, not even when I picked her up!

Can someone explain why? Now I am quite scared she might hate me, but on the other hand I think it was because she wanted to keep playing in the ball?

Thank you!

Hamster balls aren't actually good for your hamster. They're in a small confined space with nowhere to run, and when they do run their body weight gets thrown around and it's actually quite stressful for them.

I wouldn't use the ball with her, I stopped using mine after I realised it actually made my hamster scared and stressed.

Also let her get used to her new home. Even though she's from a breeder and is tame, she's in a new environment with new smells and sounds etc.. which will be unusual for her and possibly scare her a little. Give her a couple of days alone to settle and then you can start handling her again.
