Hello, I'm a first time hamster owner.
Hello!
I'm Lizz and I'm a pet veteran but a first time hamster owner. I've had 3 Lion head rabbits. 2 that I got in 2005 and lived long and happily till 2012 and a third in 2007 who sadly passed in 2008. And recently I have had two black cat sisters from 2013 to 2015 but sadly due to unfortunate and unlucky circumstances they were both ran over four months apart.
I currently live in Kingston-upon-Hull (UK) for University whilst I study a BA Degree in Illustration. I'm originally from Waltham in the Grimsby/Cleethorpes area.
Admittedly buying my first hamster was an impulse buy, but happily I am financially stable to look after my new little friend and have plenty of time to provide a happy and safe environment for my hamster. And I've joined this community in order to seek advice from experienced owners.
For my first hamster I am belated to have a lovely sable coloured male Syrian hamster who I have come to affectionately name Donny.
I look forward to being a valued member of this forum, and perhaps later share illustrations that I draw of my new little companion.
