She'll be fine, maybe a bit grumpy that she's not getting an attention but she'll soon forget all about that once you're home Give her lots of toys, chews and lots of cuddles before you go. As long as she has an good sized cage and a nice big wheel she'll be perfectly happy just doing her own thing while you're away.

She will be OK as long she gets food and water and whoever is coming over just checks she is fine. 6 days isn't too long for a hamster to go without interaction she just might be a bit strange with you when you get back, just give her a few of her favourite treats and she will soon be friends with you again

Welcome!! What a cutie you have... Trixie is so cute!

One tip I would recommend for food whist you are away (to save the pet sitter worrying about portions and to give Trixie something to do is to make little parcels containing the daily food portion. There is a thread somewhere on here but basically it's half a toilet roll tube folded in at each end so the hammie has to chew through in order to get to the food. Maybe try it a couple of times before you go away so she knows what she needs to do. You could make it a little more challenging by wrapping up in toilet roll or kitchen roll so there is more to get through.

I used to do this for Hubby if ever I went away or was going to be out of the house almost all day so didn't have to worry about how much to feed and (especially for him) he didn't need to put his hand very far into the cage.

Trixie is lovely!

I'm going to get a professional pet service to come in and tend to my boys when we go on holiday for 7 days. None of my friends and family are happy to do it because they are scared of Nibble because he is so big! I figure if I pay someone I can tell them what to do right?!

I've decided to have them come in in the morning first thing because they sleep all day and are most likely to come to harm overnight whilst doing their hamstering.
