Re: wanted 2 introduce myself & my 5 dwarf hammies
I know hamster breeders can be hard to find, especially with dwarf hams, but just enjoy the ones you have they still make the most adorable pets & maybe do some more research into breeders for future reference.
It is easy to get carried away lol! I only ever thought I'd have one at a time but I have two right now & three is definitely my max.

Re: wanted 2 introduce myself & my 5 dwarf hammies
Sadly the odds of finding a Breeder of purebred Dwarf Hamsters in the USA and them actually allowing you to purchase one is very very slim pickings. There is a breeder in California who has Purebred WW imported in from a UK Breeder, but they don't ship and are very very cautious on re-homing to a pet home. Pure Campbells are almost as hard to locate since the one breeder in California has decided to retire from the world of hamsters and sold her entire breeding colony to another gal who plans to keep up the original breeders strict proto call and only release pups to other devoted breeders.
Though all your five are Hybrid I would say Chloe is of more WW blood then Campbell blood, the other two would be more Campbell blood then WW.
All look adorable and I'm so glad you enjoy them. BTW Welcome to HC

Re: wanted 2 introduce myself & my 5 dwarf hammies
I've noticed the mostly WW hybrids seem a lot more friendly and stay tame where as the mostly Campbell Hybrids tend to with age become a bit more unsocial and not friendly. The Campbell Hybrids I've owned were much more susceptible to health issues which weren't limited to Diabetes, but also included Glucoma, and cushings.
I currently have a lovely Mostly WW Hybrid who was a rescue who looks like your Chloe

Re: wanted 2 introduce myself & my 5 dwarf hammies
Yea..Chloe's a cutie..when people come over if she recognizes the voice she'll come out like a dog..jumping up & down against the plastic in her critter cg...she can be called out of a sound sleep..I put my cell phone in her cage too so my boyfriend can talk to her...Chloe loves attention...don't know if that's unusual cause the Russian hamsters can be called out to socialize too but Chloe has quite a personality..also I've had her the longest too. I don't ever wake her up normally...she gets talked 2 on the phone when she's already awake...

Re: wanted 2 introduce myself & my 5 dwarf hammies
I also got blessed with Zara who is up most of the day & sleeps at night. She's my albino hammie. Today she hasn't slept at all & she does this all on her own...not training her 2 stay up or anything...she almost died with an ivomec overdose over the summer 2015 but I prayed & prayed & I believe God helped her a little...see before & after pics...some of u might think this is way out there lol but it really happened & she had me in tears during this time. The pic of her drinking water was 24 hours after the pics where she looks almost dead...

Re: wanted 2 introduce myself & my 5 dwarf hammies
I am beginning to believe White hamsters have that MDR1 gene that is found in white dogs like Collies and Siberian Huskies, and is also found in Blue Merles too which Ivermectin can be lethal in even correct dosage. I have lost 6 white(or mostly white) Syrian hamsters to a major reaction to Ivermectin even though they all were dosed by licensed Small animal specialist Vets. One vet even asked if I would allow them to have the body as they wanted to test for the MDR1 gene. If you have a Petsmart store near you if you need to treat for mites ever again buy their Sentry Fiproguard Flea and Tick spray for Cats and Kittens. It's even safe to use on tiny white Robos and cost 1/4 the cost of Ivermectin. It has a 14 day residual so works very well if sprayed on the inner and outter sides of the cage too. However do NOT spray it on their bedding or in their food and water containers.

Re: wanted 2 introduce myself & my 5 dwarf hammies
I'm trying to figure out how to use Tiny Pic to transfer pics but I can't seem to figure it out. It copies the IMG code or even the URL code but the picture doesn't appear? I'm trying to copy the IMG link and then I click on the yellow mountain and paste but only the address appears...
