Default Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd stick my head in and say hello! I've been lurking around your boards for a few weeks now, gathering wisdom from you hamster-savvy bunch while I prepared for my first hammy.

I bought him on Friday and am utterly in love; he's a ten-week old pure sable (dark charcoalish brown with a white spot on his belly and spectacles!) Syrian and I THINK his name is Professor Branston Pickle (or "Pickles" for short). Still trying to figure out if it suits him or not....

He's currently in a Savic Rody until this afternoon; I know it's too small for a Syrian but I bought one so I'd have somewhere to keep him until the Beast arrives today - I'm buying him the guinea pig tank style cage from P@H. It's set to take up most of the floor space in my bedroom, but I'm in the throes of being a new mum, and only the best will do!

Look forward to chatting with you all and learning more from your experiences; nice to meet you!

Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to meeting your new hammy. I love sables. I am sure he will enjoy his new home and you will get a good view of him too.
