Howdy!
Heyhoo! Thought I'd pop in and say hello- I've been lurking the forums here for a few weeks, and decided to go ahead and make an account!
I haven't actually got a hamster yet, but I'm hoping to get one here within a month or so. I've wanted one since junior high, and now I'm a grown, post college house wife and freelance digital artist! O.O With my husband working evenings and getting off at midnight, and then us staying up till 3 or 4 most nights, I think a little evening loving critter will be a nice addition to the family!
Anyway, I'm hoping to start on a bin cage fairly soon, and think I have settled on a male, long haired Syrian ham. Much excite! Hamster Central's been super informative in planning out what all I'll need to start, so thanks a bunch!

Hehe, thanks! I definitely want to have as a firm a handle on things as possible, so my hammy will be happy. And I definitely don't want to be one of those owners, you know? Plus, it's always better to have things out and avoid a mad scramble!
Thank you for the welcome peeps!

Re: Howdy!
Hi & welcome to the forum
It sounds as though you will be very well prepared when you get your new ham & all those late nights sound like a great excuse for some ham fun!
Do let us know when you get him.
