Hello from Montreal

Thin Lizzy: I know right??? Even after all these years, every time I'm recounting the tale I can hardly believe it, a hamster lost in the heart of Montreal! I thought maybe somebody had lost her, but I asked around and nobody seemed to be missing a hamster... It was really lucky we found her! Which is why I called her Merlin (back when I thought she was a dude), after the wizard/druid! To answer your question, I have 3 regular budgies, they're really pretty but completely un-tamable! At first I had only one, and it seemed like we might be able to calm him down, but then irresponsible boyfriend's brother dumped his 2 budgies on us, and ever since then, forget it! So I'm letting them live under my house, provide with food and water, treats and toys, but there's no real connection sadly

Seredipity, thank you! Omg reading medieval tales is really hard, it's in old French, it's fun to read but it's a struggle. My favorite has to be Tristan & Yseult, although I took a class in Medieval Literature in university and it was really fascinating, sadly I don't remember much, except that there is much, much more to Medieval Literature than what meets the eye Sorry, I'm a lit geek, that was my major, so if you get me started, I will never shut up!

And I do have a hamster, my little Bonsaï with whom I am so in love with that my boyfriend is a little jealous! I'm trying to take good pictures of him, but I've only had him for about a month now, he is adorable, very active but very sweet. I kind of got him on an impulse, but I absolutely do not regret it, I even wonder what took me so long?? Originally he was named Banzaï, like the martial arts movie scream (BANZAI!! Meaning CHARGE!!) because he was going at his bars with a lot of energy, climbing and running around like a spider-hammy, but I never pronounced it right and so it evolved into Bonsaï

The first picture is from when I first got him. Forgive the mess in the other photos, we were playing around with a toilet paper roll, and I had also added some shredded papers for his nest. His tank is in constant upgrade, which in the end is for the best, but I'm also trying not to stress him out too much. The first time I put him in his upgraded tank, he was so happy I giggled non stop for half an hour!
