Hi!
Hi! My name is Kira and I am a 19 year old art student. I recently bought a Syrian Hamster! His name is Rothko and he keeps me company amongst the mess of pencils and paper that i now seem to live in. I've had goldfish for a long time, and i found that the stuff they tell you in the petshop is normally totally wrong/dangerous (which i found out was true for hamsters too after a fluffy bedding nightmare) so i thought i'd find a forum ! Hey! Tell me about yourselves

Welcome! Rothko is a great name, and I love his coloring. It's very wise of you to join a hamster forum - there are a lot of knowledgable people here who will give you great advice.

Hi Kira. Welcome to the forum to you and Rothko. Congratulations on Rothko joining your family. He is a handsome chap, lovely colour as Shana mentioned.
Lots of people here, with a whole range of experiences in the world of fluffs, large and small, as well as other pets.
I hope Rothko is settling in well amongst the pencils and papers and that you are learning about each other.

SNAP! I've got Goldfish too - the same as you I learned from having Goldfish that you can't trust Pet Shops for information or trust that the products they sell are suitable for your pet. A good forum is always a valuable resource as well as a great way to chat to like minded people. I find that without even realising it I'm learning a great deal here and you will too!
