I've been very busy lately but a small update, Shabah has settled in and grown to love his wheel, soon as the light goes out within a minute or so I hear the wheel start turning. It's like clockwork his routine.. After a run on the wheel it's chomping on millet time, then going bananas in his sand bath and after that moving his bedding about from A to Z (or rather 00 to FF for hexadecimal folks).. Makes me smile with what he gets up to.

Shabah passed away this morning, I'm glad the last 14 months of his life was spent free from the sadists who'd made his youth a misery. I gave him some space to start with, then spent a lot of time gaining his trust to the point he'd come to and eat from my hand; he never nipped me once.

Thanks for the kind words. It's been eerily quite without the wheel going or the crunching of his food. Folks around the house are wanting me to get another but as yet I'm undecided. Just going to have a browse of the forums and muse over it.
