That's good to hear

He loves his nibble 'n' gnaw stacker, he had a slight munch at the green and red lumps but the yellow section has gone.. He must have stored it in his house because the lump that vanished tonight is almost the same size as him.. And that might explain why he's proceeded to push out a lot of substrate from his house (he pulled the tissue back in), he's had to make room for his stash. Oh and at the time of writing that sentence he's now working on the red section lol

And thank you all for the nice comments on the photo, it's a bit noisy as I had the wrong ISO selected and a bit distorted from zooming the cage but the bit that counted came out okay.

That's funny! The yellow section is in his house for sure. That's why he's ignored his wheel, he's had other distractions.

Shabah's still not gone near the wheel bless him He's also made a second home the other side of the cage and he rotates between the two, which I wonder if it's temperature related.. As his home away from home is closer to the rooms heat source. So I've got a 12w (11"x11") heat-mat and thermostat controller. Just need to build a base for the cage to sit on so that the mat has airflow, some glass for the mat's warmth to radiate from and calibrate the thermostat to hold the cage base under his home between 50f to 55f. I'll test the setup on his old cage first and run some probes in there before I put it below his new cage.

Does that temperature sound about right to keep him comfortable?

He is so cute. I don't understand people who hurt animals...

My youngest has 2 homes, one at each end of the cage. One is closer to the heater.
Are you sure he hasn't used his wheel when you're not around? Try putting some substrate on his wheel, if it's come off then he's used the wheel.

I balanced a little chunk of food on the top, its been there all week and I placed some food in the wheel to act as a bribe but he's not touched it. On a brighter note he does love his bathing sand pit, it's the most common place to see him. I'm amazed at the speed of his leg when cleaning himself, can just about notice a blur

What a nice ending for Shabah, he will think he`s in robo heaven now! The good thing about animals is, they live in the `now` and whatever past he had, he won`t remember. The space in a ZZ2 is fabulous and I`m sure through time, he will us his wheel, but having all that space, does it really matter?!!!!!!
