Hi & welcome to the forum
It would help if we had some idea of what steps you have tried taking with taming & how long you've had your ham.
Have you tried the tissue trick? If not put a tissue up your sleeve or somewhere for a few hours to get your scent on it then put that in the cage, keep doing that for a while till Hammie gets used to your scent.
Spend lots of time just talking quietly too & don't be in too much of a rush!
They can be a bit territorial so it may be better not to put your hand in the cage more than you have to, try putting your hand by the door & seeing if your ham will walk out to you or use a cup, ball or box to scoop him/her? up & handle outside the cage in a bin, playpen or in the bath.
Hope that helps a bit to get you started.

Thank you! I originally tried to tame my little Hammie with the basic steps. Talking, putting hand in the cage, tissue method, hand-feeding, but when I got to putting the seeds in the middle of my palm, he would not stop biting me!! I stopped for a while and decided it was time to maybe start over. For about two weeks I've been reading a book to him (Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince ) And checking his food and water and toys every day. I have also tried the bathtub method, but he always seems to be too picky and distracted to do anything but sniff me a couple of times. I know it takes some hamster owners a very long time to tame their hamster(s), but tomorrow will be the 5 month mark! Anyways, thanks so much for the advice!!!)

If you got your ham from a pet shop then he will be a hybrid, you'll only get a pure campbells or WW white from a breeder.
5 months is a long time to tame your ham but sometimes we do just have to go back to step one & start over before we get there.
I love the idea of you reading Harry Potter to him lol! reading or just talking is a great way to get them more confident with you being around.
Try holding some food in a small bowl in your hand rather than your palm for a while, it does seem to help them figure out that your hand really isn't for eating!
I don't have a bath so I never use that method but I can imagine it could make a dwarf a bit nervous, if you have a playpen (you could buy or make one if not) that might be a better way to interact while he's playing in there.
Don't give up, I'm sure he will tame with time.
