How cool is that? How do you know how much he runs? You have some kind of ticker on his wheel? What a great idea. Welcome to HC!

well its a reed switch - like the ones you have on alarm systems for doors/windows etc - so when he turns the wheel it clicks the switch - this is all recorded on a computer!!

see the about and set-up pages for more info!!

ow just to let you know be carefull with the wheel your ham has as i have a ham from a rescue centre whos back has a huge bald patch that wont grow back and we think it may have been caused by the hair getting wrapped round the middle bit of the wheel and him getting tangled up. . you can get a wheel called a silent spinner or a wodent wheel to put in there to replace the one which came with the cage as these are safer. they also give them more room so their backs not arched as they are running x x x x x x

yeah - when we first got him the wheel that came with the cage was way too small!! We upgraded him and he's much happier in the 8" wodent wheel!! we wouldn't want him going bald like his dad haha!! (i'm only 26!)

I love that so many of you are following him!!

I agree ellisyellis he is very foxy looking, but we both love csi miami so he had to be named after the ginger god Lt. Horatio Caine

Here he looks the most like a fox/wizard/old man: (the image is too big to post really - but click away!)
