Default Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!

My name is Stacey and I am from Missouri, USA. This forum was recommended to me on a gerbil forum that I am on.

I used to own hamsters from ages 5-16 and then fell in love with my first pair of gerbils. I am 20 years old now and have 10 gerbils, one cat and one newly acquired Syrian teddy bear hamster.

I'm unsure of his name yet and they said he is around 4 months old.

I am going to show a pic or two of him and I'll post more later

Nice to meet everyone!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Sadly, he had really bad diarrhea this morning and his whole bum was wet and stinky so I took him back. They are going to treat him and call me back on Monday to see if I want him back or not. I am not sure if I am going to take him back or not. Poor sweetie! I hope he is okay! I was thinking of the name Barry for him.

Welcome to the forum. Poor little Barry. It is not uncommon for the stress of a house move to cause wet tail in young hamsters. They sadly often do not make it so I hope little Barry pulls through.

Hi and welcome.

As souffle says, wet tail can be very dangerous in such small creatures, I do hope the little guy makes it.
Sending him get well wishes x
