Although I have panic posted on the breeding section of the forum. I thought it would be nice to do a proper introduction to you all now things have settled down a bit here! I am 31. married with 2 kids and live in Lincolnshire. We have had Mavis for 15 days and are really enjoying her, the kids think she is for them but really she is my baby! She is actually pretty chilled despite being quite wild when we brought her home having had no real handling. I have spent as much time as possible getting her used to me in those two weeks and she likes to be stroked. Actually to say she was pregnant and maybe feeling a bit territorial, she has been marvellous. That's all on hold now though for a couple of weeks till the pups grow.
I haven't had a hamster for about 15 years when I lived at home and we had a a lot of pets over the years at one time we had 8 hammys, 2 chinchillas, a rat, 5 rabbits, 3 Guinea Pigs, 2 Barn Owls, 2 Dogs, An African Grey Parrot, was lots of fun. I would like more pets now but not till the kids are older (they are 3 and 6). I have Mavis in Rotastak which I know a lot of people hate but I and all my hammys have loved it. The new design is better than 15 years ago too. Rotastak is good as long as you can afford to have enough of it and don't mind spending time cleaning it out!!
