I'm Amy, and I'm 16. I finally registered here after my friend stripeybea gave me a link here and I got the go-ahead from my parents to get hamsters This'll be the first time I've kept (any species) of hamsters so I'll probably ask for advice and tips & tricks with keeping my little hamsters happy
I'm getting two Roborovski hamsters soon, and keeping them in a Rodic hamster cage. Unfortunatly, I'm going to end up getting most of my hamster supplies from Pets@Home. I'd avoid them completly if I could - the one nearest to me has an awful history for the longevity of it's animals, but there aren't any other pet shops that sell Roborovskiis so I'll ending up going further afield (to another Pets@Home) for them.

I love making stuff for my pets, and have already built a cardboard pent house(viewtopic.php?f=42&t=5896) to save money, and so that I could choose the design - some of the edible houses available didn't look to be very good.

And I can't wait to get my adorable little hamsters (who I've mostly decided will be called Feather & Duster - suggested by stripeybea) so that I can take some pictures of them

My mistake there! I hadn't realised it was already the 4th today. I'm getting Robos on the 7th (hopefully!)
And I can't take all the credit for the namesm though stripeybea and I had fun coming up with paired names. I was quite tempted to call them Mike and Angelo but I'm planning on getting females so that seemed pretty mean.
