Default Re-introduction

Hello everyone,

My name is Sarah and I'm keen to get more involved with you all again. I'm sorry that it's been such a long time since my last post. I joined Hamster central back in 2005 but sadly didn't have a lot of time to keep writing. I have continued to read many of your posts though and have really enjoyed learning more about hammies and seeing all the beautiful pictures of your pets . I'm 29 and live in bonny Edinburgh

I first fell in love with hamsters as a 10 year old when I had my first hammie Fudge. He was a long -haired banded cream and the most lovable first pet. After him I had a very energetic female called Minky, (can you guess her colour,) and then a banded golden girl called Winnie.

While I was doing my A-levels, uni degree and Msc I didn't think I could give a pet my full attention and waited until I was settled with a job to pick up my interest again. Just over three years ago I contacted Babyboos and got a beautiful black dominant spot hammie. She was beautiful, just like a little badger! However Maisie broke my heart when she escaped from her cage and never came back

Luckily Babyboos had another litter, from which I had an adorable mink boy that I called Tinker. He has been the love of my life for the last three years but sadly died recently It will be hard to replace him as he was the perfect pet, but I feel so sad without a hamster in the home that I hope to get a new hammie soon.

I will keep you all posted (Sorry this has been a bit long hehe)

welcome back sarah! It sounds as though you have been very busy in the last 3 years!

Your pets were lovely, and I empathise totally with your feelings for Tinker. My own little mink boy Spud passed away recently and just like your boy, was a most perfect pet. even though I have over 30 other hamsters, I still miss him very much.

I do hope that a new boy or girl soon finds their way into your heart and brings you as much joy as tinker and your other beauties did.

Nice to see you back on the boards Sarah. Sorry to hear of the loss of your little ones but I hope that soon you will find another little hammy to share your life. I 'think' babyboos currently has two litters She also has her own toddler!
