Hi from a new hamstery
Hi,
I have owned hamsters now for 6 years as pets, but I am now in a position to take my passion to the next level and breed to show. Since I had to give up my job, I have spent months getting their accommodation sorted and researching it. I have even located a good small animal vet and talked to her about it. So I am ready to start. I want to show everyone how it will (hopefully) blossom over time and hopefully come out with some champions. In the meantime I know how good...and nice (compared to some other forum communities!!) this forum is so I look forward to sharing my experiences and hearing advice from you all.
So...HI!!

Re: Hi from a new hamstery
Welcome to the forum
There are a few breeders on here so I'm sure they will be more than happy to give you any advice towards that - good luck!

Hi Roma,
Welcome to Hamster Central.
Will you be breeding Syrians or Dwarf Hams?

Re: Hi from a new hamstery
For now I am going to concentrate on Syrians. And thanks!
I am in the very fortunate position to have just acquired a mentor with a very reputable breeder! And I am hoping to make it at the Bath show on Saturday...I am shocked but my OH has said he will drive me and make a day of it! So hopefully I will meet some other people there too

Re: Hi from a new hamstery
I think there'll be a fair few of us at Bath on the weekend, I'm definetly going (its a long day for us but well worth it) and I've got a few friends going who I'm really looking forward to seeing again
