I am new here and I am super excited.

I just got my first hamster ever in September. Unfortunately it was sick and a week after I got her the vet adviced me to put her to sleep. It was a terrible week for me, filled with tears and sleepless nights.

Now I have a new hamster and he seems to be very healthy. I already have him for a month.

But even though the vet ensured me that I did nothing wrong with the previous hamster I still am super worried if I am taking good care of my hamster.

So I joined this forum so I can learn as much as possible from more experienced people.

Welcome to the forums.

Sometimes hamsters come out of pet stores really sick and don't notice how sick they are especially if they have more than a small handful of them there. If a vet told you that you hadn't done anything wrong then that's a good thing!

What kind of hamster is your new guy/gal?

Everyone here that I've met so far is super friendly and loaded with advice.

Soooo mature !! I don't think you have done anything wrong... mYou couldn't do anything agains his genetics !! And if you are here and are willing to take advices and act accordingly, well, your ham shouldn't be worried !!! ;D
