Hi
I'm Evelyn and I've been lurking on this forum for a bit brushing up on hamster keeping tips! I had three syrian girls when I was a child but as an adult being responsible for an animal I wanted to make sure I'm doing the best I can for my hammy.
I live in Bedfordshire with my husband, 4 children and two cats. Oh and my hamster! He's a male syrian and I think he is a chocolate banded. His band doesn't go all the way round on his back so it looks like he has an "H" shape so we've called him Sherlock as in Sherlock "H"olmes.
We got him yesterday and he was a little freaked out being in his travel box but he's now calmed down and is happy to be handled. He even fell asleep on my lap a couple of times yesterday evening which was very sweet
So that's me, looking forward to chatting with you properly now rather than lurking!!
