lol fair enough, good luck
The one you want is roughly 70cm by 40cm
The normal one is 39cm by 55cm and too small for a pair unfortunately. We've got them for lone dwarf hams who need a smaller cage temporarily.

Er... You sound like you're really struggling to make your mind up.

Maybe take a few steps back and think for a while before choosing? We bought a new cage this morning and what we did was wrote out a list of requirements, then looked into every single cage we could find/think of and try to match up which fit our requirements best.

Took ages to think of a complete list and no cage met them fully, but it helped.
Our list included that it had to be a barred cage, that we wanted horizontal bars, 1cm bar spacing at most, not a low base, ideally dark bars, good doors, roughly 100cm by 50cm in size, ideally not flat-pack...
Ended up compromising on a cage we decided was the best choice but having our list really helped cut it down to the final two choices - then it was a lot easier

Did you say you're getting two hamsters?

If you're getting two hamsters you need no levels. Levels will increase the risk of pairs fighting. You need 1cm bar spacing at most, ideally less if you're getting them young - 7mm bar spacing is safest. You need at least 70cm by 40cm too.

There are debates over barred vs non-barred, and it works out as mostly personal choice. I go for bars because we find our hamsters interact more with us when in barred cages. We do have one who feels safer in a tank so he's the one exception there (the others all prefer bars).

Good choices include the zoozone 1 guinea pig cage with the lid meshed over, the Barney from zooplus with the shelves removed, the mickey 2XL with its shelf removed, or the duna fun large with its shelves removed.

Those are the ones I can think of from the top of my head. We do own a hamster heaven but I'd not use it for young dwarf hams - just incase they got through the bars.

lol no problem, let me know if theres anything else I can do to try and help.

One important thing to remember though - pairs can fall out. Try and keep a spare cage around if you can. Or a big spare storage box. Anything you can temporarily keep a ham in lol
The reason we've ordered a new cage is Dusty and Scruff falling out - had to separate, won't be trying a reintroduction and don't want Dusty in one of our spare cages forever.

As far as I'm aware, it makes no difference as to whether you keep male or female pairs As long as you make sure they are both the same sex x
