Hello All
Hello Everyone,
My name is Jan (Sweet Pickle) and I have 3 syrian hamsters and my daughter has one who is the sweetie known as Pickle.
Pickle is over 2œ now, a bit rocky on his back legs when he tries to balance but he's fine walking in a straight line!
Ginger is my 3 legged rescue hammie, very elusive he is.
Caramac is also a rescue hammie.
YoYo is my new little baby who seems to have enormous ears!
I'll say bye bye for now.

Hello, hello, hello Jan aka Sweet Pickle aka HildzHams???
Hello Jan glad you are here as I love hearing all about your hamsters' adventures on PWS. Would love to see a picture of those big ears - maybe think of calling him YoYo Charlie???
Where does HildzHams come from???

3 Legs
Thank you for the welcome Babyboos.
Well Ginger's story as told to me by Jacky the rescue lady is that he was among 20 syrian hams in 4 cages, which we all know equals fighting, and that was the cause of Ginger losing one of his front legs.
He's a very elusive boy, I have to break open his bedroom to see him.
He has a lovely gentle temperament, when I open his bedroom he tries to do a runner down one of the tubes (Super Pet Playground setup), invariably I hold him around the middle and his rear comes out first.
With my user ID on this forum I decided to go for a variation on my middle name Hilda.
When Pickle first joined our family exactly 2œ years ago today (27th) I did not envisage having any more than the one ham so went for the ID of Sweet Pickle. As you know that didn't last very long, then came Herbie, followed by Ginger, Caramac, Mr. Peeps and now YoYo.

One hamster - huh!
That one hamster theory never lasts
Once you got the bug it is virtually impossible to not have a little critter in your life
I like the name Hilda, but then I am biased as my mum is called Hilda.
