My first hamster was when I was five-ish and I refer to him as Fuzz because I can't remember what his name actually was
I just remember he was Golden, and that he apparently "bit" so I wasn't allowed to handle him. He loved his ball, though, and would terrorise the cats by chasing them in it
I think he died of old age.
Pippin wasn't technically mine, but my Grandad's. I was in my early teens when he came on the scene. He was a cream banded of some description, and a beautiful darling, who was very tame. He had a habit, though, of letting himself out of his cage every night to wander around the kitchen. Every morning his cage door would be open, and he'd be fast asleep in his house
I believe Pippin died of old age.
Darla is my current Roborovski, and my darling fuzzbum. He was from the P@H adoption centre, and was called Pip there, but I swiftly changed the name. A few months later I actually checked his sex and realised he wasn't a she after all! The name stuck, though
He's not very good at being cuddled, but he is the cutest little thing, especially when I feed him in the morning. My favourite time of day is when I give him his breakfast, and he comes out all sleepy-eyed and pouches every little piece off my hand, and then goes back to bed. Sometimes he hangs around for a bit and we have a little chat. He's also a bit of a lazy bum, though, I rarely see him in the evenings at the moment. He lives in my bedroom, and he waits until I'm half asleep in bed before he comes out for a little run on his wheel. I love hearing the sound of his running paws!
