Introducing Sprocket the Adopted hamster!
After umming and ahhing for a couple of days, today I went and adopted a little robo from p@h. On his paperwork next to his cage in the store in says that his owners were moving abroad and couldn't take him with them. Woman in the shop told us that the truth was he was found dumped outside the store two weeks ago.
He's just under a year old and is settling in well to his nice big zz2 cage. Don't think he's ever seen so much space and toys in his life. Forgot to buy chinchilla sand while we were there, so will be popping back there tomorrow!
Photos to come soon when I get round to charge the camera up!

Hehe can't wait to see pictures, also why did they feel the need to lie about reason he's up for adoption? Its nice of the woman to tell you the truth though

Re: Introducing Sprocket the Adopted hamster!
Staff said that they're not allowed to write on the paperwork that animals have been abandoned by the store so just make something up. She came into work at 6am and he was just there in a tiny cage. Apparently a lot of the adoption hamsters they get are dumped outside the store.
I was worried about him being alone but he seems happy enough, especially now he has a bigger cage.
Now, where's that camera charger?..

Re: Introducing Sprocket the Adopted hamster!
I should imagine its so that people dont think its ok to dump their pets there, if they advertised the fact they would be inundated with unwanted critters
Congrats on your new adoption, I hope he settles in well
