After he had his hyper hissy fit he cooled down the next day. This is probably the first time ever that he said he was sorry and that I could get a hamster if I really wanted one. One of my arguments was, did I ever tell him he couldn't have something he either wanted to buy or wanted to do. Ever! He has his interests and I have mine. We also have common ground. Needless to say, I have checked out a few dwarf hamsters at one of the pet shops. I really like the young male Winter White Russian. So cute! I did want some Robos but they may be too quick for me. One hamster might do nicely. I am still in the planning and gathering stage. I am determined to become one of the group, officially. I do thank you for being so kind and concerned.

I thought I was responding to someone elses post.
Thank you everyone for not mentioning all my spelling errors. No spell check here?

How does husband know he is allergic to hamsters?! I am allergic to dog and cat fur, I get quite a bad reaction if I haven't been taking my asthma inhalers and nasal spray. I haven't had a problem with my hamsters, although noticed with my little boy who sadly died last year, that I would sneeze and wheeze a bit when cleaning him out. I put it down to the wood shavings and not the hamster. I am using carefresh bedding for my new little girl, it is less dusty and also less sharp, which I thought would be better for her little feet!
