Unhappy Hamster in distress. HELP

hello from Frederick, MD. i have a big problem my daughters hamster is not doing good it wont eat wont do anything except lay to 1 side ad has 2 scabbed areas. 1 bye her ear the other under her chin. also she cant hold her rgt eye open. Could this be from a spider bite... PLEASE HELP

Hmm, not sure about a spider bite, i wouldnt know tbh, i'd just get her to the vet ASAP

Im not sure if it is from a spider bite but your daughters hamster certainly sounds very poorly and needs urgent veterinary attention. The fact that the hamster is not eating is not good either, their digestive system has to be constanting working, or it will be unable to start again. You could try syringing water, feeding some soft foods such as, scrambled egg (made with water or soya milk), or baby food from a jar, (with no onion, garlic or spices), but your hammies really does need to see a vet as soon as you can, hams can go down hill very quickly.

Hello from Catonsville, MD! Right up the road from you! I agree that you need to find a vet, do you have one that treats small animals? Falls Road would probably be closest to you...? I've heard good things about Telegraph Road too...
