Hamster hunting in Hertfordshire
Hi,
I'm new to the hamster world (although I did have one(flash) as a child). I'm looking at purchasing a hamster for my daughter. The hamster will be primarily for the eldest daughter and we'll help maintain (me and my wife).
What are the steps involved in finding a perfect pet for my daughter? I've also purchased a
Savic Cambridge Hamster Cage as a starter home. I've attempted to contact Tuftyfluff Hamsters but sadly not had any reply via email (tried pm this afternoon). Obviously I could buy from a pet store but I'd prefer to use a breeder.
p.s Any breeders in Hertfordshire feel free to contact me !
Thanks In advance

Re: Hamster hunting in Hertfordshire
The savic cambridge is a great cage for a syrian =] I already know it'll be a lucky hamster because you've obviously researched it (and accepted that you're probably going to have to help look after it)
I can't help but welcome and good luck with your hamster hunting =]
Also..your title totally scared me because I thought it was a new sport...like fox hunting >.<

Re: Hamster hunting in Hertfordshire
Sue at Tuftyfluff usually checks her e-mail / forums etc a few times a day, but she also has children to pic up from school etc so you might not get a response straight away. I know they have just had some babies born there, but they are only 1 or 2 days old. So if you are in no hurry just let Sue get back to you, and I am sure she will put you on her list.
I am also in Herts Watford and I do have some babies who are 6 weeks, some 5 weeks and some 4 weeks, but not many. so you can pm me and let me know what you are looking for if we aren't too far from you.

Re: Hamster hunting in Hertfordshire
Thanks for the replies. My email went into the spam folder thus no reply.
Rachel - Thanks for your reply but looks like I'll go with my initial request to Sue.
Katie - My main sport is Triathlon (thus the name) just find it's not used on many forums as Ford is quite common !
Thanks again for your kind replies. I'm sure I'll be on the forum lots as the website is a real wealth of information (Got my tips for the house from here).

Yes it was after the film and not the Cleaner Stuff. I loved that film as a child. Funny we were all discussing in work about using your pet's first name and your mothers maiden name as a Sudo name. It actually makes for a funny discussion. Mine was "Flash Williams", lucky as my second pet was called "Fred".
