At long last! I have been looking for the right forum to help me take care of my new hamster and I found it here. I should correct myself that it's not just my hamster, but mine and my wife's. She does all the petting and playing and I do the cage-cleaning, etc.

This is my 2nd time to have a pet hamster. My first one was Syrian that escaped her cage 5 years ago and was never found. I had her for a good 1 1/2 years.

Now, we are the proud keepers of a Campbell's hamster, about 1-2 month old. We just got her a week ago. We're thinking of getting a companion for her from the same litter but we haven't acted on that idea yet.

Welcome giyorg! I`m sure you will love being a member on here. Losing your last hamster after all that time must have been awful for you, so I hope your new Campbells wee one makes you smile again. I`m due to pick up a rescue Campbells hamster from a friend who is collecting him for me, so as of tomorrow, I too will have my very first Campbells! I`m also getting three Roborovski males from babyboos on here soon too and I`m really looking forward to having them.
