This ham is a chunker, so it was hard to get good pics of it amongst all the fat rolls I adopted it recently & it was in this tiny cage (smaller than a Crittertrail) with no wheel or enrichment...only substrate, a food dish FILLED with food, and a water bottle. I don't know the age of the hamster, the sex of the hamster, or how long it was in that tinny cage with nothing.
That is cute! I find it hard to see in photos & vids but would guess male too.

Thank you all for trying to help! I do have to say this is the smelliest hamster I've had thus far! I'm tempted to name it Popcorn because that's exactly what the cage smells like. I've had 3 female dwarf hamsters, a female Chinese, and 3 Syrian hamsters and none has been this smelly
I'm starting to work towards taming, so hopefully there will be better pictures in the future. Regardless of it's sex, I am so happy that I got this little one out of the poor situation it was living in. Guess I'll just have to pick a name that would suit either sex! lol
Lol, at calling your cute hammy Popcorn due to the popcorn 'aroma'. I'm glad he/she is no longer in such a terrible living situation and you came to the rescue. Your little one sure is lucky to have such a loving hamparent to love and care for him/her. Be sure to let us know when you have the perfect name chosen for this cutie; I personally like the name Popcorn because of the humorous story behind it. Have fun taming! I look forward to seeing pics whenever she is settled in more and you have a chance. I can't wait to see what lovely adventures the two of you go on together. Eros waves a paw to you both, btw.
