Boris & Pasha
Well it’s been just over 3 months since we brought our first hamsters home and it’s been great. I can’t even remember what it was like before we had them. After 3 weeks of them living together we had to separate them. We knew it was a possibility and as they had 2 of everything in their cage anyway it was easily done. They’re own personalities really started to show once they were on their own and they are both very different from each other.
Pasha is such a big fluff ball and he’s the quiet one out of them. He doesn’t like to be handled so much and might sit in your hand for a minute but that’s usually enough for him and he is happy to let you stroke him when he is eating. He isn’t so fussed about being out his cage for play time either but will come out most days for a short while. His favourite veg is peppers especially the red and yellow ones! I think he must have a little sweet tooth somewhere.
Boris is the complete opposite, he loves being handled and out his cage. He’s very much a grass is greener hamster and wants to be everywhere he isn’t until he’s there and then he wants to be somewhere else! He’s a great food hoarder and likes to keep a massive stash to the point we wonder if he even eats anything at all. He loves his broccoli and cauliflower along with all his seeds. He also seems to be an accomplished mountain climber. Really glad we got them both, they make us smile (and laugh with their antics) every day.
We’re also very pleased to be part of this great community and enjoy hearing about everyone's hams and seeing all their cute faces. It’s such a great source of helpful and friendly information and thank you for all the advice so far.
Some pics of Boris attached; Pasha to follow

Re: Boris & Pasha
We decided to take a leaf out of Cypher’s book and grow some seeds for the boys. Normally we are hopeless at growing anything and weren’t sure we’d manage this time either despite Cypher’s instructions. However it worked and they grew! Here’s a picture of the little pots and some of Boris tucking in. Pasha wasn’t so keen and was more interested in pulling everything out, throwing it everywhere (even out his cage), but not actually eating any, or trying to pull the fitch through the hole in the bottom of the pot!

Re: Boris & Pasha
Awww what lovely photos of your beautiful boys
Looks like they're really having fun there, Zen loves to eat them but she thinks digging everything out & making a great mess everywhere is the best bit too
