Re: Boris & Pasha
Thank you Cypher, Hamsterita and Lizzy
Another day and a new fort for Boris to play in When I say "new" I really just mean a different arrangement of cardboard boxes and tubes but with some treats to find :P
Playing spot the hamster
None of Pasha today, he's taken to sleeping in his sand pit under a mound of tissue lol he must feel the cold weather coming.

Re: Boris & Pasha
Thanks guys
Yes Hamsterita, Boris is the little adventurer. He seems to think his cage is only for sleeping in and the rest of the time he should be out exploring the house! If there is a closed door then he'll want to get inside. He doesn't understand that if a door is closed then it's because it's not safe for him to be in there lol.

Lovely photo of Boris playing in his fort - looks like he was having a lot of fun exploring. He looks so cuddly.

Re: Boris & Pasha
Well Boris has developed an annoying bar chewing habit (only when we're in the room). He just wants to be out his cage all the time it seems or he's not happy After trying pegs and cardboard on the cage, changing things around (too many times to mention), nothing seems to work. Anything new you give him he looks at it for 10 seconds then is bored lol. He gets out for playtime, either to his big really useful box or to the landing with lots for him to explore (supervised of course) but it still doesn't seem to curb his enthusiasm for adventures and exploring.
We ordered a Barney for him thinking maybe he would appreciate a bigger cage but both times it has come broken so I'm really disappointed about that. Shall need to look around and see what else there is, though I expect he'll probably still end up chewing the bars!
Here he is in full angangangang mode. He even flicks the pegs around with his paws making a right noise lol.

Re: Boris & Pasha
Oh dear! I've never had a bar chewing Russian thankfully but you're probably right about attention seeking, it's hard to ignore but that's about all you can do.
It's a real shame about the barney's arriving broken, there did seem to be a lot of that with that particular cage some time ago but I thought they were ok now, hope you can find something he likes eventually.
He does look very cute in a mischievous way though
I did used to have a similar problem with Mickle, she would often spend all day in the playpen & if I had to put her back in the cage before she thought it was time we had a riot of bar climbing & racing around the cage, if I didn't leave the room she just would not stop but ignoring her & walking away did work after a short while.
